In 2024 I am primarily working on two documentary projects: 23.9 Years (working title), a portrait of a survivor of child abuse in the care system and Discover Local, a commission from William Morris Big Local to capture and celebrate the stories behind the vibrant local economy in a historic and diverse area of east London.
23.9 Years (working title)
Paul is a survivor of child abuse while in the care system in Australia. It took him over forty years to speak about it. Now in his late 60s, Paul has reached an equilibrium - part acceptance, part gratitude, part anger - but not forgiveness.
This is the story of his journey - a story of lost innocence, institutional neglect, a search for justice, and ultimately of personal growth, success and optimism.

I have been commissioned by William Morris Big Local to create a documentary celebrating the local economy of the area.
